You’re Going to Make It After All!

There are some days when you have to encourage yourself either because no one is available or you’re tired of wearing out the same people week after week with your problems.  Everything is going haywire and it seems like the bottom is falling out with no end in sight.  You feel like you are walking under a dark cloud that seems to follow you everywhere.  Even when you have good days, you can’t seem to enjoy them because you are waiting for the other shoe to drop.  You toss and turn every single night and feel so exhausted in the morning that you don’t know what to do.  Tell yourself that this is just a temporary situation, and that “you’re going to make it after all”.  You’ve fallen, but don’t stay down; get back up.

Perhaps, you don’t know if you’re even going to have a job by years end because of your company’s uncertainty.  Perhaps, you’ve ended an unhealthy relationship, but it wasn’t really what your heart wanted to do, and now you’re lonely or even second guessing your decision.  Maybe, you’ve gone to the doctors only to find out that you’re not as healthy as you thought you were.  You’re in a situation where you find yourself snapping at everyone because you are so irritable and frustrated even though you know it’s not their fault.   I know you’re at your wits end and feel like pulling your hair out, but I promise you that “you’re going to make it after all”.

When I’m blogging, I’m not just speaking to my audience, but also to myself.  Just recently I was in a true “funk” concerning something that I couldn’t currently find a work around.  The situation hasn’t gone away, but I’ve decided that I can’t go around in a bad mood because of it.  Sometimes, we have a plan A, B, C, D and so forth and so on, and sometimes, there is only plan A.

“How will you make it on your own?  This world is awfully big, girl this time you’re all alone.  But it’s time you started living” — Theme to the Mary Tyler Moore Show (Love Is All Around)

Even when you’re alone, you can make it because you’ve got more strength than you realize.  Tap into your inner resources.  Get to that quiet place where you can think and pray.

Today, it might not seem like it, but YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE IT AFTER ALL…

I started this site for women, because as a woman, I understand the challenges that we face daily. Some of you are wives, some are significant others, some are mothers and/or grandmothers, running your own business, caretakers, etc. In other words, we have a lot going on. There are those of us who have been deemed "super women" or "super heroes" (boss babes), and we wear our "capes proudly," as we should. However, at the end of the day, we often neglect ourselves, thereby losing sight of the fact that we should practice self-care regularly (and no this is not selfish, but necessary). We have to "learn" to love ourselves enough to "stop," and take/make time to "smell the roses." Life is short...❤️
